Have you heard of Affiliate Marketing? Its one of the best and quickest way to make money online. Don't be mistaken though, some people do affiliate marketing but don't make more then $100 a month.

Why is that? Why do some people earn $3000 monthly, while others are spending more on advertising then the money they're making. Putting myself into the same shoes when I first started online, I can think of a few reasons.

1) Lack of know how

Some folks are not versed much in HTML, or the technical side of making money online. Well, its a small handicap, but there are other ways to make money online without needing to know too much about the technical side of things. Some of the millionaires folks online don't even know how what FTP software was until late in the game. Can you believe it? All you need to do is learn how to do a few simple techniques and you can make an income. Its just like magic, once you know how its done, its not that difficult.

2) Lack of knowing the right people

The right people can help you break out of the mold much faster then you jumping around in the dark. I've been in the darkness before and its a scary lonely place to be. Find a successful friend to help you and you will be earning $2000 online quicker then you know.

3) Lack of tracking

Tracking takes effort. In other words, instead of just promoting, additional steps and configurations need to be set up to facilitate tracking. Maybe for this reason, people don't track, but I think most people don't do it because they don't know how to track where there sales is coming from, what actions did they do that resulted in a sale. Tracking can be as simple as this example. 2 different persons who bought leads. One person checks, cross references the name of the new sign up to see how many sign ups originated from the Lead source, while the other bought leads and never did any tracking. By not tracking we will not know where to ramp up our efforts to produce better conversions, or just to dump that source of advertising.

Always TRACK! If you don't track, QUIT the Internet Marketing game before you sink further into the quick sand.

4) Lack of action

We just need to learn the basics well, and just keep doing what works. If we learn nothing, do nothing, implement nothing, then we get nothing. And while some folks are playing golf because they've invested in themselves to learn a skill that will produce them income so long as the internet is around, those who don't sacrifice TV time, in the long run, will wish they had put some effort learning a skill that produces great income.
